Star of Hope strives to help with the economic famine that exists in the communities where we work. It is a difficult and complex issue but one that cries out for a solution. Without a commerce base, sustainabilty of any project in a community is in serious doubt.

800+ Shoes are arriving in Star of Hope Haiti Office!

FedEx delivery truck delivered 6 of the 9 boxes of shoes donated from the golfing events at the country clubs around Washington, DC. Staff are busy sorting them in preparation for delivery to one of three projects.

This gift will mean so very much to the children and families who lost so much in the earthquake. To not have to find the money to buy shoes to send your child to school means that the money they have can be used for food, seed or other things that the family needs.

Thank you to the people who organized the collection and shipment of the shoes!

Some 800 pairs of shoes for school age children have been donated and are on the way to Haiti. Children in our projects in Boyer, Jeanton and Faith Children's Home (Carrefour) are excited about the new shoes coming.
