Kansas StarTeam leaving Hesse today. The team has spent three days ministrying to the children and parents of Hesse. The phoned in reports have been encouraging as the people love the visitors and the help they are bringing. As the team travels back to Port-au-Prince this afternoon they can take pride in what has been accomplished.

Star of Hope Vehicle damaged by rock. Our newest vehicle was damaged by a rock that flew off a truck. The rear window was broken and with the heavy rains that come each afternoon it was urgent to repair it.  Window glass is always a challenge in Haiti so they have made a temporary repair.

Rain Continues to create a mess. Our staff in Port-au-Prince reports heavy rains are falling almost everyday. Local flooding and mud have become one more burden on the displaced families living in temporary shelters.

Operational funding is always short of what we would like to be doing. Windows and vehicle repair is expensive. Please consider a special gift to help with operational needs. You may give on-line with your check or debit/credit card.

Breaking Ground

Resil Lovenson is a six year old pre school student at the Star of Hope Hess Project.  He is a very helpful child, he often helps distribute food to the other children, the one meal that most of these children will most likely receive that day.  He says that he loves school but knows that there is much missing with the entire building collapsed.

Star of Hope on May 6th broke ground at the Hesse School located in the mountains.  There is a team of ten from Kansas going to the community of Hesse on May 22 for a week.  The team will be spending their time counselling and work with the kids on their fears and distractions from the earthquake in January.

Kansas Team in Carrefour, Haiti.

March 26, 2010 - The Kansas team visited the Faith Children's Home in Carrefour, Haiti. This project was home to 125 children prior to the earthquake. Today is is housing more than 150.

All the 5,500 children in our projects in Haiti are in need of this kind of emotional and spiritual healing. But we are short of funds to make this happen. A $22 donation will allow one more child to receive help. Will you be one who helps? Click here to help!
