Star of Hope Philippines

In the Philippines, Star of Hope is working with pre-and primary school age children. We also have a high school which goes through the 12th grade. The goal of school activity is to give children from poor slum areas quality education and thus a better start in life.

An opportunity for education

Through school activities, both children and their families feel that there are people who see their plight and want to help them to make changes. In addition to schooling, the children also receive nutritious food and regular health care. Combined these three create the hope for the future. It is impossible for a child to escape poverty if he or she cannot read or write, or is always hungry or sick?

Help in many ways

In addition to the two schools, we also give support to the sponsoring children attending some state schools. Poor families receive food parcels. Adult education, helping street children and providing emergency assistance when necessary rounds out the efforts of Star of Hope. All of this is carried out under the umbrella of demonstrating the love of God toward these people. We share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
